El sismo registrado hoy en Venezuela se sintió en el sur y en el Caribe oriental donde causó en algunos lugares daños estructurales, especialmente en Trinidad y Tobago, informaron las autoridades de socorro locales.
El terremoto, reportado inicialmente como de 6,3 por la Fundación Venezolana de Investigaciones Sismológicas (FUNVISIS) y rectificado a 6,9 en la noche, se sintió en la mayor parte de Venezuela, en Trinidad y Tobago y algunas zonas de Colombia
