La 27ª gala de los los MTV EMAs 2020 fue realizada con una nueva modalidad, debido a la COVID-19, sin embargo, artistas como BTS, Lady Gaga o DJ Khaled se llevaron premios a sus hogares.
Se llevaron a cabo el 8 de noviembre de 2020 con las cantantes del grupo femenino Little Mix, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock y Jade Thirlwall de anfitrionas en la transmisión hecha desde Londres y Budapest.
En este sentido, durante la ceremonia virtual que fue vista en 180 países, hubo actuaciones de David Guetta, Alicia Keys, DaBaby, Maluma, Zara Larsson, Sam Smith y las propias Little Mix.
Finalmente, los grandes ganadores de la noche fueron los chicos del grupo de K-Pop, BTS, quienes se acreditaron cuatro galardones, incluyendo Mejor grupo y Mejor canción por “Dynamite”.
Mientras que los otros premios más importantes fueron para Lady Gaga (Mejor artista), Coldplay (Mejor artista rock) y DJ Khaled y Drake como Mejor videoclip por “POPSTAR”.
